Abstract:

A fine sized semicoke sample (-10 mm) with a dry basis analysis of 39.87% moisture, 17.02% ash, 15.75% volatile matter, 67.23% fixed carbon, 1.42% total sulphur, 0.40% combustible sulphur and 6291 Kcal/kg upper calorific value wa s used for the bnqueting tests.. After crushing to -1 mm, this sample with molases, and molasses+tar+lime was subjected to briquetting under different loading conditions. The test results indicated that the semicoke sample mixed with 12 % molasses, 5 % tar and 3 % lime briquetted under 30 tons of briquetting pressure yielded the optimum briquettes with 20.09% ash, 20.51%volatile matter, 59.40% fixed carbon, 1.35% total sulphur, 0.15% combustible sulphur, 1720 shatter index and 6074 Kcal/kg upper calorific value.

Kuru baza göre, %3.98 rutubet, %17.02 kül, %15.75 uçucu madde, %67.23 sabit karbon, %1.42 toplam kükürt, %0.40 yanabilir kükürt ve 6291 Kcal/kg üst ısıl değere sahip olan - 10 mm boyutlu semikok numunesi üzerinde briketleme deneyleri yapılmıştır. İnce boyutlu semikok numunesi -1 mm boyutuna indirildikten sonra melas, melas + katran ve kireç karışımlarıyla farklı briketleme yükleri altında ayrı ayrı briketlemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Yapılan deneyler sonucunda semikok numunesi %12 melas + katran, %3 kireç karışımı ve 30 ton presleme yükü altında briketlenmesi sonucu %20.09 kül, %20.51 uçucu madde, %59.40 sabit karbon, %1.35 toplam kükürt, %0.İ5 yanabilir kükürt içeren, 1720 shatter indeksine sahip ve üst ısıl değeri 6074 Kcal/kg olan bir briket elde edilmiştir.
