Abstract:

In this study a new evaporation apparatus has been developed to recover CaCl2 from the waste water of Mersin Soda Factory. For feaster evaporation, in this system, solar energy and heat of the waste water was used. In 16 °Be waste water has been evaporated until 42 °Be by use of roof type apparatus. Salt and calcium chloride are possible to seperate together because in water their solubility are very different. Every year approximately 1.500.000 m3 of waste water will be formed at Mersin Soda Factory. If 1.500.000 m3 of brine is exploited by this process, approximately 972. 000 tons of CaCl2 in 92 % purity can be obtained.

16 Baume (°Be) deki atık çözelti çatı sistemi ile 42 °Be’ye ulaşıncaya kadar buharlaştırılmaya devam edilmiştir. Tuz (NaCl) ve kalsiyum klorürün (CaCl2) sudaki çözünürlükleri farklı olduğunda bunları ayrı ayrı ürünler halinde kazanmak mümkün olmuştur. Mersin Soda Fabrikasında yılda 1.500.000 m3 atık çözelti oluşmaktadır. Geliştirilen sistem ile (çatı sistemi) 1.500.000 m3 atık sıvı işlendiğinde %92 saflıkta 972.000 ton kalsiyum klorür elde edileceği hesaplanmıştır.
