Abstract:

 The aim of the study was to identify the challenges associated with physical activity of older persons, as well as to identify the motivations that induce others to participate in physical activity in light of some demographic variables for the elderly. The researcher used the descriptive method on a sample of 384 elderly, 268 men and 116 women aged between 60 and 79 years. The data collection tool consisted of two questionnaires prepared by the researcher. The results of the research are that the most important challenges of physical activity for the elderly in 
(Lack of vision, stress, no family encouragement, no encouragement to physical activity, belief that the injury is associated with practice, lack of clinics equipped with practice places, and that the most important stimulants of physical activity for older people sleep better, improve balance and eliminate the risk of falling, enjoy a fun atmosphere, achieve a sense of happiness and improve public health.
