 Aim: This research aimed to examine parents thoughts about childhood vaccine awareness and vaccine refusal during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This descriptive study was conducted with 205 parents in the newborn mother baby and general pediatric services of a training and research hospital in Istanbul between February and May 2021. Data; It was collected with the data collection form and the Vaccination Opinion Form. The data obtained in the research were used in the SPSS 22.0 package program; Analyzed using number, percentage, mean and standard deviation values. Ethics committee permission was obtained for the research. Results: The parents of 95.1 think that vaccines are necessary, 64.4 think that vaccines have side effects, 98.5 think that their children are vaccinated regularly, 70.6 think that vaccines are necessary and therefore they are vaccinated regularly. Them of 43.4 stated that the Covid-19 pandemic did not affect their opinions towards vaccines. Parents of 59 said, If we stop vaccination, very rare diseases may increase in society. They strongly agreed with the statement, and 61.5 said, Childhood vaccinations are for the benefit of the whole society. He stated that he strongly agreed with the statement. Conclusion and Suggestions: This research shows that the majority of parents think that vaccines are necessary during the Covid-19 pandemic and continue to vaccinate their children regularly. For these reasons, it is extremely important to continue clear and reliable information campaigns about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines within the scope of public health services.

 Amaç: Bu araştırma, Covid-19 pandemisi sırasında ebeveynlerin çocukluk çağı aşı farkındalığı ve aşı reddi hakkındaki düşüncelerini incelemeyi amaçlamıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipte olan bu araştırma, Şubat-Mayıs 2021 tarihleri arasında İstanbulda bulunan bir eğitim ve araştırma hastanesi yenidoğan anne bebek ve genel pediatri servislerinde 205 ebeveyn ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler; veri toplama formu ve Aşılamaya İlişkin Görüş Formu ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 paket programında; sayı, yüzde, ortalama ve standart sapma değerleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın etik kurul izni alınmıştır. Bulgular: Ebeveynlerin 95.1i aşıların gerekli olduğunu, 64.4ü aşıların yan etkileri olduğunu, 98.5i çocuklarının aşılarını düzenli olarak yaptırdığını, 70.6sı aşıların gerekli olduğunu düşündüğü için düzenli aşı yaptırdığını ve 43.4ü de Covid-19 pandemisinin aşılara karşı olan düşüncelerini etkilemediğini ifade etmiştir. Ebeveynlerin 59u Eğer aşılamayı bırakırsak, toplumda çok nadir görülen hastalıklar artabilir. ifadesine kesinlikle katıldığını, 61.5i de Çocukluk çağı aşılamaları tüm toplumun yararınadır. ifadesine kesinlikle katıldığını belirtmiştir. Sonuç ve Öneriler: Bu araştırmada, ebeveynlerin çoğunluğunun Covid-19 pandemisinde aşıların gerekli olduğunu düşündüğünü ve çocuklarını düzenli olarak aşılatmaya devam ettiğini göstermektedir. Bu nedenlerle halk sağlığı hizmetleri kapsamında aşıların güvenliği ve etkinliği hakkında net ve güvenilir bilgilendirme kampanyalarının devam etmesi son derece önemlidir.
