Abstract:

This research sets an example for the use of Mashup music genre, a new music genre in which different songs and pieces of music are combined, in Classical Turkish and Western music, in line with Modelling, Methodology and Creation of Mashup Database. The research was conducted with the general scanning model of descriptive research. Necessary literature research on the subject has been scanned and presented under topics and headings. By using the data collected in the research from books, papers, articles and web sources, information about the Mashup music genre and enlightening opinions on the subject were collected in the light of this information. In this study, in order to create a new Mashup music genre, the work called Nihavend Sirto composed by Hasan Özçivi and the works called Hungarian Dance No.5 composed by Johannes Brahms were discussed and the instrument parts were recorded in a way that their rhythmic structures and tonal structures were compatible. An attempt has been made to show the music genre mashup from which the stream is provided. With this sampling method, it is envisaged that Mashup music can be diversified by blending it with folk music and different music forms, as in Classical music, and can help these genres attract more attention.
