 The use of method books in instrument education is very important as it is the determinant of the education method and path to the extent that it can be supported literally. When the clarinet methods are examined, it is seen that almost all of the methods used in Turkey are foreign sources and there is no content for Turkish music elements. With the research, it is aimed to determine the opinions of the clarinet instructors in the music education department about the clarinet methods and their views on the lack of Turkish music elements in these methods. For this purpose, interviews were held with 7 clarinet instructors working in music education departments. The obtained data were analysed by content analysis method. As a result of the analysis of the data, themes and codes were created for the participants expectations from the clarinet methods, the clarinet methods they use, whether the methods affect the preferences of the students according to their level, the content of the existing methods they use, their contribution to musical development, their contribution to the vocalization of the piece and their opinions about their deficiencies. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that although the clarinet instructors find the methods and contents used in the clarinet lesson sufficient, they see the lack of a method that includes Turkish music melodies, modes, rhythms and passages from contemporary Turkish music pieces for the B flat clarinet as a major deficiency.

 Çalgı eğitiminde metot kullanımı kelime anlamıyla da desteklenecek ölçüde eğitim yönteminin, yolunun belirleyicisi olduğu için çok önemlidir. Klarnet metotları incelendiğinde Türkiyede kullanılan metotların neredeyse tamamının yabancı kaynaklar olduğu ve Türk müziği ögelerine yönelik içeriğin yer almadığı görülmektedir. Araştırma ile müzik eğitimi ana bilim dalı klarnet öğretim elemanlarına sorular yönelterek klarnet metotları hakkında fikirleri ve bu metotlarda Türk müziği ögelerinin eksikliğine yönelik görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda müzik eğitimi ana bilim dallarında görev yapan 7 klarnet öğretim elemanı ile görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Verilerin çözümlenmesi sonucunda katılımcıların klarnet metotlarından beklentileri, kullandıkları klarnet metotları, metotların öğrencilerin seviyelerine göre tercihlerini etkileyip etkilemediği, kullandıkları mevcut metotların içerikleri ve müzikal gelişime katkısı, eser seslendirmeye katkısı ve eksikliklerine yönelik görüşlerine yönelik tema ve kodlar oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda klarnet öğretim elamanlarının klarnet dersinde kullanılan metotları ve içeriklerini yeterli bulsalar da metotlarda si bemol klarnete yönelik Türk müziği ezgileri, makamları, ritimleri ve çağdaş Türk müziği eserlerinden pasajlar içeren bir metot olmamasını büyük bir eksiklik olarak gördükleri sonucuna varılmıştır.
