Abstract:

With the sociocultural structure that changed after the eighties, the artists began to use by diversifying every ‘thing’ about the body in their ongoing works that related to the body. We come across the concept of abject with using of bodily fluids for the creation of contemporary issues such as the relationship of the body with the inside and outside, presenting the body evaluating a political structure as a material and rebuilding the body as a public creation. The concept of abjection, which is conceptualized by the work of Lacan and Bataille, is seen in Kristeva's work as the whole process between body, essence and object. In this context, the process of expulsion of the outsider and the boundaries of the new structure that he creates outside has become described as disgusting. The disgusting object is also regarded as the object determining boundary. At this point, the connection with the opposing object and the task of the body on the disgusting process of this object are tried to be defined. In a sense, there is a reading about the process of the liberation of the new object from the “essence”. This study presents a research text on the reinterpretation of the body and the effort to create the boundary of this concept which is the production of a sociocultural period in which art production becomes slippery.
