Abstract:

World War II has been one of the bloodiest wars in history and which took place in the 20th century, is the subject of many nations in their literature. II. World War II, especially in the 20th century Russian literature has a great place in itself and "Russian Literature in the Great Patriotic War" is the name. During the “Great Patriotic War” that occured between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia in 1941-1945, many writers took part in the front. Some of these writers became soldiers at the front and others as war correspondents. During this period, one of the writers who served as war correspondent at the front was Vasili Grossman. Grossman, in his work as a war reporter, wrote about experiences and observations in many of his works. The most important of these works and Grossman’s masterpiece work was “Life and Fate” In this work, Grossman refered to the Nazi concentration camps and the Gulag camps around the battle of Stalingrad, as well as the life of the army and the family. In our study, we wrote about the camp life that Grossman discussed extensively in his work “Life and Fate”. In our study, we included the difficult situations experienced by the prisoners in the Nazi concentration camps and Gulag camps, the psychological impact of the war on the prisoners in the camp and the processes of questioning life. However, we focused on the comparison of the ideologies of National Socialism and Communism.
