Abstract:

Ifk(حادثہ افک)is an Arabic word mentiond in Quran which means Slander.Incident of Ifkhas a message and lesson especially for Muslim Umma, and for all humanity as a whole. This incident has great importance as it happened in the golden era of Prophet Muhammad (S.W.A). It directly affected the most respectful and honored personality in the history of Islam. Many lessons are taught by this incident. Noble and right righteous people, preachers, religious scholars do face hardships and face charges and blames from the society. Life has never been a bed of roses for them.
Incident of Ifk has been discussed in detail, with all its consequences. It teaches how one can take benefit and guideline on individual level as well as on collective level. This Incident tells us that only Allah Almighty has knowledge of everything apparent and hidden. Holy Prophet (S.W.A) is not all knower. He knows only what Allah has revealed to him. People should always avoid passing their judgment on leaders and reknowned scholars of Muslim Ummah without authentic evidence or conformation.
It is crystal clear that hypocrites and evil-natured people were wrong and became the victim of Allah’s anger and were purified. As Quran proved the innocence of the Mother of Ummah “Hazrat Ayesha (R.A)” so people should always have a positive thinking and optimistic view for others, especially for religious scholars and leaders. Rumors, blames and wrong notions may lead towards great loss to nations and Muslim Ummah.
