 هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن استراتيجيات التنظيم الانفعالي الأكثر استخداما لدى أولياء الأطفال المعاقين عقليا،و مدى اختلافها القائم تبعا لمتغير الجنس في استخدام إستراتيجية من الاستراتيجيات التالية: (لوم النفس، التقبل، الاجترار، إعادة التركيز الإيجابي، التركيز على الخطط، إعادة التقييم الإيجابي، وضع الأمور في نصابها، التهويل، لوم الآخرين)، ولمعرفة ذلك تم تطبيق مقياس استراتيجيات التنظيم الانفعالي ل:(Garnefski & Kraaij, 2007)،على عينة دراسة قدر ت ب:120 وليا،دلت النتائج على أن أكثر الاستراتيجيات استخداما هي استراتيجيات ايجابية تصدرها أسلوب التقبل، كما دلت النتائج على أن الأمهات أكثر ميلا لاستخدام الاستراتيجيات السلبية مقابل الآباء.

Abstract:
 The study aimed to reveal the emotional regulation strategies most commonly used by parents of mentally disabled children, and the extent of the difference that exists according to the gender variable in the use of one of the following strategies: (self-blame, acceptance, rumination, positive refocus, focus on plans, positive re-evaluation, Putting things in perspective, exaggerating, blaming others). To find out, the Emotional Regulation Strategies Scale (Garnefski & Kraaij, 2007) was applied to a study sample of 120 parents. The results indicated that the most frequently used strategies are positive strategies issued by Acceptance style. The results also indicated that mothers are more likely to use negative strategies compared to fathers
