 The Algerian education system has, since independence to date, had three different pedagogical approaches, each of which has its own foundations and mode of implementation. The major problem with this system does not lie in the reforms, but in the lack of stability on a particular model, noting that these models are presented in the form of ready-made modular solutions. As well as, in the inadequacy of the results expected through the application of each of these approaches. The implementation of the competency-based approach is proof of this, as it is only the result of pressure driven by the challenges of the new global capitalism. It is therefore not surprising that the solution applied has influences on the quality of education and long-term consequences on the education system, and to objectively analyse the facts and to better inform the pedagogical challenges of our school system, the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) carries this evidence.
                  Le système éducatif Algérien a connu depuis l’indépendance à ce jour, trois approches pédagogiques différentes et chacune d’elle dispose des fondements et de mode de mise en oeuvre. Le problème majeur de ce système ne réside pas dans les réformes, mais dans l’absence de stabilité sur un modèle particulier, notant que ces modèles sont présentaient sous la forme de solutions modulaires prêtes à l’emploi. Ainsi que dans l’insuffisance des résultats escomptés à travers l’application de chacune de ces approches. La mise en oeuvre de l’approche par compétences en n’est la preuve; car elle n’est que le résultat d’une pression menée par les défis du nouveau capitalisme mondial. Il n’est donc pas étonnant que la solution appliquée ait des influences sur la qualité de l’enseignement et des conséquences à long terme sur le système éducatif. Et pour analyser objectivement les faits et pour mieux éclairer les enjeux pédagogiques de notre système scolaire, le programme international pour le suivi des acquis des élèves (PISA) porte ces preuves.
