Abstract:

The limited resources and the increase in social needs have increased the importance of waste management. In a study conducted in Yozgat, 5 questions were asked to 30 participants in order to measure the impact of the Zero Waste Project and evaluate the work carried out, and the results were analyzed with the MAXQDA 2022 Qualitative Analysis Program. All participants stated that the Zero Waste Project is important in terms of protecting the environment, nature and natural resources. Participants emphasized that environmental damage is caused by humans and that protective measures should be taken to prevent this. The concepts highlighted in the study included recycling, reuse, waste-free life, prevention of waste and change in consumption habits. 5 of the participants drew attention to the difficulties of recycling and stated that these difficulties could be overcome with awareness and participation. A 100 consensus was achieved on preventing waste and changing consumption habits. The importance of education and awareness-raising activities for the success of the project was emphasized. In addition, it was stated that the circular economy model was developed as an alternative to linear economic systems in order to achieve sustainable development goals.
