Abstract:

 

We can say that publishing activities increased in Bodrum and Milas districts with the republican regime. It cannot be ignore that the contribution of the community centers established at that time to increase in publishing activities. Community Centers have made a significant contribution to the culture, art and literature life of every region they have opened. The "New Milas Community Center Magazine", published by Milas Community Center, started its publication life on October 29, 1936 to inform and raise awareness of the people living in the region. “Ferayi” magazine, which was published in Bodrum district, started to be published in 1962, and ended in 1965 after being published for three years. During the period of its publication, “Ferayi” conveyed the literary, artistic and cultural activities that developed in Bodrum to the people of the region, and at the same time, it fulfilled the function of an important culture and art transmitter of its period by publishing the compilations and writings of local artists and writers. “Bodrum Art” was published by Nuri Bulut in December 1983 for once as an additional publication of the Bodrum newspaper. Although it was published as a single issue, considering the articles in it, it is seen that it offers important works from world literature to its readers. It is very important that the magazine activities are carried out in the form of local periodicals and their contribution to the literary, artistic and cultural life of that region. Magazines have played a major role in meeting and promoting the works of local poets and writers living in Bodrum and Milas districts with the people of the region. In this study, not only folkloric texts are included, but also essays, poems, anecdotes, stories, memoirs, criticism, etc. It has been discussed in terms of content by including other types of writings.

 

Bodrum ve Milas ilçelerinde, yayıncılık faaliyetlerinin Cumhuriyet rejimiyle arttığını söyleyebiliriz. Yayıncılık faaliyetlerinin artışında o dönem kurulan Halkevlerinin katkısı göz ardı edilemez.   Halkevleri, ülkemizde açıldığı her bölgenin kültür, sanat ve edebiyat hayatına yerel yayınları sayesinde önemli katkı sağlamıştır. Milas Halkevi’nin çıkartmış olduğu “Yeni Milas Halkevi Dergisi” de bölgede yaşayan insanları bilgilendirmek ve bilinçlendirmek için 29 Ekim 1936 yılında yayın hayatına başlamıştır. Bodrum ilçesinde çıkartılan “Ferayi” dergisi ise 1962 yılında yayımlanmaya başlamış, üç yıl yayımlandıktan sonra 1965 yılında yayımlanması sonlandırılmıştır. “Ferayi”, yayımlandığı süre boyunca Bodrum’da gelişen edebiyat, sanat ve kültür faaliyetlerini bölge halkına aktarmış, aynı zamanda yerel sanatçı ve yazarların derleme ve yazılarını yayımlayarak döneminin önemli bir kültür sanat aktarıcısı işlevini yerine getirmiştir. “Bodrum Sanat” ise 1983 yılının Aralık ayında Bodrum gazetesinin ek yayını olarak, bir defaya mahsus, Nuri Bulut tarafından çıkartılmıştır. Bir tek sayı olarak yayımlanmış olmasına rağmen içinde yer alan yazılar dikkate alındığında dünya edebiyatından önemli eserleri okuyucusuna sunduğu görülür. Dergi faaliyetlerinin yerel süreli yayınlar şeklinde yapılması o bölgenin edebiyat, sanat ve kültür hayatına katkıları oldukça önemlidir. Bodrum ve Milas ilçelerinde yaşayan yerel şair ve yazarların eserlerinin bölge halkı ile buluşmasında, tanıtılmasında dergiler büyük bir rol üstlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, yalnızca folklorik metinlere yer verilmemiş, deneme, şiir, fıkra, hikâye, anı, eleştiri vb. diğer türlerdeki yazılara da yer verilerek muhteva bakımından ele alınmıştır.
