 Abstract:
This research reviews cultural criticism as one of the most important contemporary critical currents, as it is a branch of textual criticism, which makes it one of the branches of linguistics or one of the fields of linguistics, because it is concerned with criticizing the implicit patterns contained in cultural discourse in all its manifestations and its multiple modes and forms, and thus it is a criticism that seeks to study marginal works whose value or importance has long been denied by literary criticism. This study attempts to identify the theoretical references of cultural criticism, including its theoretical references, terminology, and foundations, as well as its function and its utilization of deconstructionist theories.
