Abstract:

Works such as newspapers or magazines are published in a certain period are referred to as the main sources of information reflecting the characteristics of the period. These advisory resources aim to inform them by including news and comments that concern people in the region where they are published. Among all the newspapers and magazines published from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic, a remarkable type of publication with its content and name was distinguished from the others: illustrated newspapers and magazines. The first illustrated newspaper published after the Illustrated Istanbul Magazine and the Illustrated Istanbul Week is the Illustrated Adana Newspaper. The newspaper started its publication life on May 1, 1926. Despite all the researches, the 1st year 2nd issue, which has been obtained so far, has been examined. In the review; each page of the newspaper was analyzed and explained one by one. With this study, in which a previously unknown newspaper about the Adana region is adapted and transferred to the present, it is aimed to benefit from the understanding of the process and history of the period in question. However, it is considered that this opportunity can be contributed by transferring information to future generations.
