Abstract:

 This research aimed to explore the attitude of the trend of the higher education quality assurence through out its quatlty assurence units and the application of  the frist measure (Bidaiah the statrt), its also identifying the reality of the application challangies and difficulties in the Governmental (Public) and private universities, as seen by the acadimicians through specific questionnaire, it also considered the requirements of the organizational culture, legislations, vision, mission, and objectives, academic status, administrative status, buildings and facilites, and realizing a high level of quality in the output of university education in line with the requirements of the labor market.  A stratified random sample was selected, the sample consisted of (53) acadimic staff such as (Deans, Heads of Qualty Assurance Units, Heads of depertments, members of educatinal development centers, member of the Accridiation Board or councel. Questionnaire were distributed over the sample members, (48) of them came back were about (90.57%).  The stubility of the study was tested by alpha – Cronbach, after analyzing the data, the study concluded that the level of applying quality administation and management in Yemeni’s universities (public and Private ) is in a moderately level, as a view point of the acadimic staff of the institutions in qustions. In general, averages and standard deviations indicates that both, public and private Yemeni’s universities still lack the basic necessary requirements for the successful implementation of criteriat of quality assurance, in its first phise.  This is due many difficalties, it can be invastigate via detail interpratition the quatinnaire variabiles. Some of these defficulties are: (1) weakness of the tools and methods to established Quality assurance knowlaged, (2) the very weak of activities in regard to implement roles and gaudance of the real quality assurance procedures within the Yemeni universities. (3) The superficial role (in the Yemeni Universities) of the existance of the Acadimic Accridiation Council.
