Abstract:

Spatial, economic, sacial and societal fragility in border areas is the result of inappropriate bioclimatic, geopolitical and geoeconomic conditions. While human factors remain actively responsible for its spread and multiplication, which has resulted in the transformation and slide of individuals families and groups from a well off situation to a vulnerable situation, and from the latter towards the cycle of poverty. This resulted in a clear deterioration in the economic and social situation in the eastern region, which became an area of expultion of a significant number of its residents towads more vibrant and attractive internal and external areas. In this regard, the city of Ahfir and its hinterland remain an exception to this hypothesis. Answering the problem of the tropic requires us to study and analyze the various questions that feed into general problems which can be summarized as follows : * Ahfir is a border and marginal city, like the rest of the eastern cities. It was subject to successive periods of closure and opening of its international borders resulting from the tension in geopolitical relations between the two neighboring countrries. T what extent did this situation contribute to creating and perpetuating socio spatial fragility in the city of Ahfir and its suburds ? * In the midst of the current circunstances, and even in the near future, it seems that the future of the city is very ambiguous, knowing that diplomatic relations between the two brotherly countries have increased tension. So that is the strategy followed to achieve territorial development and mitigate the effects and manifestations of socio-spatial fragility in the city of Ahfir ? These questions and inquirises require us to study and analyze the following elements : - Ahfir is a border and marginal city, subject to the nature of diplomatic relations and biopolitical the two neighboring countries ; - Causes and manifestations of socio-community fragility in the city of Ahfir ; - Necessary recommendations to achieve territorial development in the city of Ahfir and its rural surroundings.
