Abstract:

This study aims at studying the contents of the newspaper articles in the Turkish Electronic Journalism; and investigating how the newspapers policies and orientations are compatible with the policy of the Turkish government and its opinion towards the “Arab Spring”. The paper analyzed the media framework adopted by the Turkish Electronic Journalism that tackled in those events. The researcher selected an intentional sample of three Turkish electronic widespread journals to represent the research community: Milliyet and Hürriyet and Zaman journals; in a way of an equal representation of trends in the three political newspapers of the Turkish Journalism.. The results revealed that the Turkish Electronic newspapers didn’t use the term “Arab Spring” in describing the events and replaced it with recent media frames such as (the Arab revolution, protests and demonstrations and overthrowing of the dictatorships). The results showed a positive consensus among the objectives of the communicators on one hand and trends of the Turkish government’s pro-shifts in the countries of the Arab Spring on the other hand. The percentage of interest in the subject of the “Arab Spring” in Journalism is 30%.
