Abstract:

Abstract: Our article aims to analyze the issue of youth abuse of psychotropic substances, showing the strategic importance of youth for nations and peoples, by defining the justifications that make different countries of the world fight the use of all forms of psychotropic substances among their youth in order to immunize them from all deviations and crimes. Then we will work to deconstruct the backgrounds and motives of some young people's resort to the use of psychotropic substances and drugs, based on the results of scientific field studies from various societies, especially our Algerian society. We will try to explain the phenomenon according to several cognitive approaches to finally present a conceptualization of a multidimensional preventive protocol based on pedagogical, cultural, psychological and cognitive strategies that may contribute to securing university youth from the use of psychoactive substances that may threaten their health, mental and social safety, And make them contribute positively to the sensitization and awareness-raising processes of their peers. This protocol will serve as a frame of reference for university institutions and their bodies that may help them design sustainable field work programs within the activities of improving student life.
