 تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى بيان أثر قاعدة سد الذرائع في منع كل ما يفضي إلى إيذاء النفس البشرية ناهيك عن قتلها، بإعطاء الوسائل أحكام المقاصد، مع بيان نماذج عن الوقاية والمنع من جريمة القتل، والمنهج المتبع في هذه الدراسة هو المنهج الاستقرائي الاستنباطي، حيث قمنا بجمع المادة العلمية من المصادر والمراجع المتخصصة؛ وكذا المنهج الوصفي بعرض الآراء ثم تحليلها ومناقشتها وفق الأدلة الشرعية، وقد جاء هذا البحث مبينا لماهية هذه القاعدة وأقسامها، مبرزا لأهميتها وفوائد إعمالها في الفقه الجنائي، متتبعا ذلك بتطبيقات معاصرة لأثر هذه القاعدة في منع جرائم النفس، والوقاية منها، وخلصنا إلى أن قاعدة سد الذرائع لها أهمية بالغة في منع جريمة القتل قبل ارتكابها بتحريم الوسائل الموصلة إليها ، وبعد وقوعها بتشديد النكير على فاعلها وقسوة عقوبتها. 
Abstract en anglais This study aims to demonstrate the impact of the rule of bridging the pretexts in preventing everything that leads to harming the human soul, let alone killing it, by giving the means the provisions of the purposes, with examples of prevention and the approach followed in this study is the inductive and deductive approach, where we collected the scientific material from the sources specialist references; As well as the descriptive approach by presenting opinions, then analyzing and discussing them according to the legal evidence. It is of great importance in preventing the crime before it is committed by prohibiting the means leading to it, and after its occurrence by emphasizing the denunciation of the perpetrator and the severity of the punishment.
