In this study, uncertainty in the duration and machine-hour requirements of excavation and haul activities are predicted by Monte Carlo analysis. Uncertainties and risks which are usually faced during the planning Phase of (he construction are tried to be taken into account. Uncertainties and risks related with weather and soil conditions and productivity of the operators are modeled by Monte Carlo analysis and tine affect of these variables on the construction duration and machine-hours are examined, In this study, productivity of construction machines are estimated by the productivity charts of the construction machines which is a widespread method generally accepted in the construction sector. The uncertainty ranges in the productivity charts are directly used in Monte Carlo analysis by generating random numbers in the ranges obtained from the productivity charts and (he productivity of the machine is estimated. As a case study a small section of a road construction which requires a cut of 50,000 rn3 of earthwork is used and the performance and the usability of the method is examined. Monte Carlo simulation is performed by repeating the analysis 1000 times and most probable construction duration and total machine-hours with their uncertainties are obtained. By this means, with the most probable values cost and duration of the construction can be estimated and the risks of the construction can be determined by taking the uncertainties of the estimation into account. By executing Monte Carlo analysis it Will be possible to estimate the risks properly and more precise contingency ratio can be assigned in the bid for the risks.

 

Bu çalışmada, kazı ve hafriyat işlerinin gerçekleştirilebilmesi için gereken süre ve iş makinelerinin kullanım saatlerindeki belirsizliğin tahmini Monte Carlo analizi ile yapılmıştır. İş planlamasında sıkça karşılaşılan belirsizlikler ve risklerin iş takvimine yansıtılamaması sorunu bu şekilde modellenmeye çalışılmıştır, Hava durumu, zemin koşulları ve operatör verimliliği ile ilgili belirsizlikler ve riskler Monte Carlo analizi ile modellenmiş ve bu etkenlerin iş bitirme süresine ve ekipman ihtiyacına olan etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, iş makinelerinin verimi için sektörde yaygın olarak kullanılan makine verim tablolarından yararlanılmış, tabloların verdiği belirsizlik aralığında rastgele sayılar üretilerek verimlilik tahmin edilmiştir, Örnek çalışma olarak 50.000 rn3 kazı gerektiren yol inşaatın küçük bir kısmı için yarma çalışması kullanılmış ve yöntemin performansı ve kullanılabilirliliği incelenmiştir. Monte Carlo benzetimi 1000 kere tekrarlanmış ve analiz sonucunda en olası iş bitirme zamanı, toplam iş makine kullanım saati ve bunların belirsizliği hesaplanmıştır. Böylece, en olası değerler kullanılarak işin maliyetinin hesaplanması, bu değerlerdeki belirsizlikler kullanılarak ise maliyet ve süre hesabındaki riskin belirlenmesi mümkün olabilecektir. Diğer taraftan, ihale öncesi bu tür bir analiz yapılarak risklerin tahmin edilip daha tutarlı bir güvence payı eklenerek teklif hazırlanması mümkün olacaktır.
