Türkiye‟de toplumsal yaşam biçimleri 1980‟lerden itibaren yıllarda siyasi, ekonomik, demografik etkenlere bağlı olarak değişmektedir. Dünyadaki küreselleşme söylemlerine koşut uygulanan neoliberal politikalar sosyal yaşamı birçok yönden etkilemiş, köy ve kent arasında giderek artan demografik fark ise geleneksel-modern gerilimi içinde toplumsal alanın yeniden düzenlenmesini gerektirmiştir. Bu yeni düzenlemenin başat araçlarından biri medyadır. Medya araçları bireylerin toplumun yeni yaşam biçimlerine adapte olmalarını kolaylaştıran bir mecradır. Çalışmada özel televizyon yayıncılığının ortaya çıktığı 1990 ile 2000 arası Türkiye‟deki toplumsal yaşam biçimleri değişiminin televizyon dizilerinde yansımaları araştırılmış ve Bizimkiler dizisi temel yaşam biçimi göstergeleri bağlamında niteliksel yoruma dayalı göstergebilimsel çözümleme yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Çalışmaya göre yerli televizyon dramalarının geleneksel ve modern gerilimi içinde yeni yaşam biçimlerinin gelecek tasarısıyla üretildiği gözlenmiştir.
