Abstract:

Abstract
The history of the humankind is a kind of history of battles and wars and changes and transformations on the earth are mostly outcomes of these battles. In Islamic History Battle of Badr is a turning point. Battles are judged twice for their cause and method. Depending on the cause, legitimate or not we can say that it is a fair or unfair war, moreover depending on its method we can say it is fought fairly or cruelly. However, it is also possible for a legitimate war to be waged illegally or for an unfair war to be conducted in accordance with the law. Islam did not reject the reality of war, it allowed war under certain conditions. As war is an action that includes many moral concepts, it is possible to talk about a morality of war, and the morality of war comes ahead of the law of war. The Prophet Muhammed faced the reality of the war during the Medina era of his prophethood, and showed that a world of morality can be established even in war by fulfilling the requirements of morality in these wars. Since the wars of the Prophet Muhammed took place in the limitations of revelation, in terms of purpose and method, we can say his wars are the most moral wars.
Key words: war, morality, law, Prophet Muhammed, Islam.
