Abstract:

Given the vital role of startups in the economic process of countries, the financial support, all along their lifecycle, is a determinant factor of their success and promotion.
Startups, regardless of their growth levels, contribute to advancing development, fighting unemployment, and inducing competition.
In this context, Algeria has paid special attention to startups and has issued several legal texts to shape their operation, and has offered young entrepreneurs all necessary economic, technical, legislative, and regulatory information to perform their activities.
This paper attempts to clarify the meaning of this emerging concept, i.e. startups, on the one hand, and to determine institutions implemented by the legislator to facilitate the creation and promotion of startups, and outline various means of their financing, on the other hand.
