The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods such as frequency and percentage in accordance with the aims of the study and the findings were presented in tables and graphs. The Pearson Correlation analysis was used between the gross per capita GDP GDP participation rate and the winning medal. According to the results Turkey is the second most populous country with the youngest population among European countries. It ranks 27th in GDP per capita, the last place in terms of participation rate to the Olympics according to population, and 24th in the order of medals won according to the population.
