Abstract:

Dreams have an important place in the daily lives of people and in this respect, we can say that they have gained a unique place in all cultures and beliefs. Since time immemorial, dreams have exerted a distinctive influence on peoples lives. Many people have pondered the concept of dream and derived a lot of meaning from it. Books have been written to explain this concept, and various individuals have come to the fore for the interpretation of dreams and have made this job their profession. Different perspectives and interpretations have emerged on the concept of dream, particularly within religious and psychological context. As a concept, the dream has also influenced literature and has gained a place in world literature. In literary texts, the dream has sometimes emerged as a political reaction, serving a purpose in this direction. Kurdish literature also contains texts of this kind. One of these is Cemil Saibs short story Le Xewma In Sleep. In this story, Cemil Saib reveals a historical period through the dream method in a critical and political manner. In this study, this particular story of Saib has been analysed within the framework of political reaction, employing a critical and analytical approach.
