Abstract:

This research aims to emphasize that adherence and inference in the prophetic Sunnah in the doctrine and rulings are the correct provisions of the Islamic faith, but rather from the requirements of achieving a testimony that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, the call to the prayer known as Azan that Muslims hear every day five times when the muezzin called out to the greatest ritual after monotheism, saying: (I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah). Rather, the Muslim in every prayer and in the prayer of greetings says at the end: (I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger). And the testimony of him - peace and blessings be upon him - that he is the Messenger of Allah means: to believe him in what he was told, to obey him as he commanded, to avoid what he forbade and enjoin, and not to worship Allah except with what is prescribed. Accordingly, those who do not use the prophetic Sunnah as a source of evidence in general, or do not use the news that was narrated by few numbers of narrators in particular in beliefs or Islamic rulings, or distort their meanings, and interpret them or delegate what they indicate if they do not agree with their understandings and minds, they are in fact did not achieve the meaning of the testimony that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him. Rather, those who do not use the Sunnah of the Prophet as a source of evidence are in fact not using the Holy Qur’an as a source of evidence too, because Allah has commanded in his book to obey his Messenger, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, as the Almighty said: “And whatever the Messenger brings to you, take it and whatever he forbids, leave it.” [7] Indeed, Allah - glorified and exalted be He - made following the prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as a sign and evidence of the sincerity of the servant’s love of Allah Almighty. The Almighty said: (Say: “If you love Allah, then follow me. Allah will love you and forgive you.”)And the status of the prophetic Sunnah of the Islamic creed was looked after by our good ancestor in word and action, by knowledge and beliefs, in their written work and books, you hardly find any of the books of the doctrines in the prophetic teaching hadith or the books of the creed narrated with the chain of narration or the bridged and extended creed books or the creed poems, whether if it is mentioning all sections of matters of belief, or is mentioning a particular section in the creed, or a specific matter, unless its author refers to the status of the prophetic Sunnah in the creed, but rather from the names of the doctrine in the virtuous centuries: The Sunnah as stated in many of the Sunnis and the people of Congregation works, such as: Explanation of the Sunnah of Al-Mazni, and the origins of the Sunnah of Ibn Abi Azmeen Al-Maliki, And the likes of them. As well as in all their prophetic teachings hadith works, and all their imams and in all their schools of jurisprudence, Maliki, Hanafi, Shafi’i and Hanbali. This research came to demonstrate and clarify this position and relationship between the Sunnah of the Prophet and the Islamic creed, from the point of view of the fact that the Sunnah of the Prophet is the second source of the Islamic creed, and from the point of view that the inference of it from the requirements of the validity of the faith and to fulfil the meaning of the two testimonials Shahadah which is the first pillar of Islam. As well.
