Abstract:

The role of the modern media in all its forms in human life is increasing because of its power of influence, the dimensions and objectives it carries, which combine positive and negative aspects. It is no secret that religious discourse is in urgent need to utilize this media to spread values and morals (tolerance, peaceful coexistence...), as a result of the current circumstances and international changes and the internal and external challenges it faces, but it is still insufficient to have media outlets and a moderate approach that has a positive effect on public opinion in combating hate speech; Instead of being a pulpit for truth and a beacon of good. Based on this imaginative ground, this article aims at trying to look at the reality of Islamic media discourse and its relation to hate speech, and to develop a forward-looking methodology for the future prospects of countering hate speech.
