Abstract:

The scholar Mortada al-Zubaidi is considered one of the influential geniuses of Islam during the 12th century AH/18th century CE, through his resplendent works and relationships with scholars from various regions. This is highlighted in his book "Al-Mu'jam al-Mukhtas," which compiles biographies of scholars associated with him through companionship or correspondence. Among them were Algerians who considered Egypt a stopping point to access the lands of the Hijaz and the Levant, either as a permanent or temporary base to replenish from its religious reference.
This work provided an opportunity to introduce researchers to figures still obscure in academic research, requiring unique works befitting their scholarly stature, and highlighting their civilizational role in engaging with scholars from various horizons..
