 Objectives: This article aims to analyze the epistemological and didactic challenges facing value education in Moroccan schools. It also seeks to highlight the limits of textbook design in integrating the value dimension and proposes methodological approaches to strengthen the presence of values in the educational process. Problem: This study seeks to analyze the epistemological and didactic issues related to the concept of value education in Moroccan schools, focusing on the ambiguity of the concept on the one hand, and the difficulties of its pedagogical and didactic integration in textbooks on the other. Methods: This study adopted the descriptive method, as it is the most suitable approach for analyzing abstract concepts and describing their characteristics and components in a precise theoretical manner. Conclusion: The article concludes that there are several epistemological and didactic issues hindering value education in Moroccan schools. These appear in the conceptual ambiguity and the multiplicity of references, on the one hand, and the weak mechanisms of pedagogical and didactic integration in textbooks on the other. This situation calls for a review of educational conceptions and practices by adopting an integrative approach that balances the cognitive and the value-based dimensions.
