Abstract:

Minors' Subjugation comedy action Donna Pacita, a 16-year-old girl forced by her mother Donna Irene to marry Don Diego, a rich and sensitive knight aged 59 years. However, he was ignoring the love of Dona Pakita to Don Felix and his real name Don Carlos Don Diego's nephew. With this plot, which lies in the triangle of love where events develop, and the main theme revolves around the persecution of girls and forcing them to obey their mothers and engage in unequal marriages. Person must fight for what he wants and defends his feelings at all costs. It is better to be honest and express the reality we feel from oppression and concealment, and this is the last thing that will lead us to misery. They also taught us to be good to others, as did Don Diego, who gave up his happiness in order to see Paquita and Carlos Felisas. The writer wanted to make Pacita choose free. In fact, Don Diego was the protector of Don Carlos' nephew and had the same mistakes with his theory. This contradiction between theory and its application represents the thread that leads the theater. A play reflects the reality of Spanish society at the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century which reveals the common vices and mistakes of marriage.
